Are you sick and tired of being sick and tired?

You’ve come to the right place.

In 2018, I completed a Bachelor of Arts in psychology at SUNY Potsdam. Six months later I was bed-ridden for nine months with chronic intestinal pain. I  received every medical test and utilized countless alternative treatments with no relief. Ultimately, my pain was deemed Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS).

Before I began graduate school at St. John Fisher College for mental health counseling, I began emotion-focused therapy to target my chronic pain, which I now understand was rooted in trauma and repressed emotions.  Within nine months of weekly therapy, I was a functioning human again.

Four years later, I am a PhD student at the University of Rochester and specialize in the mind-body connection. My education at the University of Rochester has provided cutting-edge research, leading experts, and unique experiences to treat chronic pain through mental health counseling. I use an evidence-based modality called Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Therapy (ISTDP). ISTDP focuses on the release of repressed emotions, aim to reduce defenses, and process associated impulses in a safe environment.

Common presentations may include: fibromyalgia, IBS, insomnia, back pain, whiplash, hives/rashes, PNEA (psychogenic non-epileptic seizures), frequent urination, panic attacks, headaches or migraines, tinnitus, and an innumerable more .

My goal is to assist you in understanding chronic pain, unknown etiologies, psychosomatic disorders and the fundamental, physiological problem with treating such disorders from a medical model.  Furthermore, I draw from ground-breaking scientific evidence that exhibits many common ‘disorders’ can improve chronic pain through psychotherapy. I seek to provide you with hope for a functional future. Get ready to transform your mind, health, and community!
